Wasn’t a fan of Mason in the first book but the story of Vassal and Mason made me a fan. The story of the two of them learning to recognize their truth about their feelings about one another was a convoluted mess that the untangling was such an awesome adventure. Plus… I love Jack, so I was happy to see him play a small role in this story.
