This was such a surprisingly enjoyable book. While generally a fan of Piper Vaughn, I’ve never read anything by Avon Gail. Moreover, I tend to avoid stories with age gaps when the younger person seems stuck in perpetual adolescence and I especially avoid them when Daddy kinks are involved, but I’m glad I took a chance with this one. The characters, their development and the flow of the story were so well done and engaging that I couldn’t help but eventually root for Poe even though I usually have a hard time connecting with characters like him, which speaks to the skill of the writing. Between the vibrancy of the characters and a story full of compassion, frustration and bratty, flirty fun, “Permenant Ink” definitely leaves its mark.
