Simply an excellent read/listen. These first hand accounts from the men who were there are fascinating. As someone who got the chance to hear stories of the great WWII while sitting on my Grandfathers lap, this book really helped me better understand what it was like. My Grandfather was in the 87th Infantry and I couldn’t help but wonder if he may have known some of these men.
