…and given in a manner that keeps you interested, and hoping that the police get their man/woman/etc. The book goes beyond the fantasy that is the CSI-series of TV shows and their ilk. It shows you what methods the authorities REALLY use to find and identify dead bodies and what are the problems they face in acquiring evidence that will convict a killer. If I ever have to sit on a jury dedicated to a murder trial, I’ll understand a little bit more of how the evidence was gathered. What did surprise me was that many of these methods were developed by private individuals, and not in some “lab” somewhere. It also made me realize that you’re not likely to get away with murder no matter how clever you think you are. This book was worth the time used in my life to listen to it, and I’m likely to listen to it again to pick up any bits I might have missed the first time. Highly recommended.
