Everything being on and the fault of Hector gets old. It’s unfair to have an MC who wants to. He so loyal and understanding with such a demanding partner who can COMPLETELY disregard him for a person who would kill him with an easy smile. Wish the dragon had as a dude so the author wouldn’t unload so much pathetic hypocrite on her. She disregards him super easily in reality. And Eastvane is a ridiculous character who has ZERO chance of being the great military leader they kept saying he was. He is dangerous as a leader and removes any trust you have in how a character/person in the story is supposed to make sense. He does a 180 to hate the hero who brought back the person he worships and stopped a giant exploding dinosaur and zombie army, because the guy he hates, blames for all the problems, and calls incompetent made a speech none of them knew about stating he was reassigning people. That person is not stable and can not lead a kindergarten line, let alone be in charge of lives you don’t want to lose. It was the laziest, zero justification for the sake of conflict move I have every seen. That character and NPCs(because you literally made then nothing more than that at best) were so compromised by that I lost a lot of respect for the general writing.
