A brilliant thief sets out to rescue a prisoner. Although this story is in the romance genre, I would classify it much more appropriately as a fantasy action/adventure. Quick witted Mouse ventures out to rescue a wrongly accused nobleman. The adventure and action are amazing. Near the end it seems that the prisoner and hero fall for each other. This is rather clunky- we get hints of mouse’s attraction, but to call it a romance would be a stretch. But in the end, there is a positive outcome and a happily ever after, so I can overlook the weakly-written romance portion. Joel Leslie is stunning as always. It’s rather funny to hear this accomplished voice actor portraying Mouse, who is fussing at Garron to not talk so posh. Anyway, it’s an action filled book that I enjoyed just for the fun!
