Joshua Dalzelle delivers a fine adventure. I have enjoyed his Black Fleet stories immensely, and this one continues the trend. There is a bit of a “last survivor” quality to this one. That makes it a little predictable, but there were some nice little twists along the way. I really liked the poke at the real, human costs of jumping to conclusions. I also like that the story stands on it’s own. I wonder if there is a viable sequel. All in all this was a pleasant saga and entertaining. Well worth the price.
