Enthralling in every sense of the word!!

I found this very hard to put down, and neglected chores and obligations in order to keep listening. I had borrowed the book so that I could see how the Icelandic names that were so unfamiliar to me were written, and I actually read the last few chapters because I had to see “whodunnit,” and reading was just faster.

I enjoyed Diana Craft’s narration very much, and would have given her 5 stars except for the fact that there were times when I could not discern right away that the voice had changed, and so was confused and had to repeat a few paragraphs to reorient myself. But that may have been more of a function of the way the book was written than of the narrator’s performance. As I said, I enjoyed her narration very much.

Finally, I can give no higher praise than to say that I am looking forward with eager anticipation to AEgisdottir’s next novel! Well done!
