I was provided this free review copy of audio-book by the author or narrator. This review is for the audio copy of Fight Like a Man: A Post Apocalyptic Thriller: The SHTF Series, Book 1 by L. L. Akers and narrated by Kevin Pierce.
So let’s start out by critiquing the narrator; this book was read by my absolute favorite narrator of the EOTWAWKI genre, therefore the book had better be worth it!!
With that said, it was a good solid story of how a people might react in the situation described. There were plenty of people whom I thought were naive and too trusting but that of course depends on your perspective. The storyline flows logically, the character development seems a bit shallow to me but, again, that may be my bias about the descriptions of the people and how they acted and reacted. You should read it for yourself and see what you think. I enjoyed it enough so that I will be looking for the next book to see what develops.
