I enjoyed this book; however, I would like to point out a few factors that others might not enjoy.
Firstly, the MC is over-powered. I know this is a major turn off for some people so this is your disclaimer.
Secondly, the MCs morality is questionable. If you’re looking for a book about a wholesome hero, look elsewhere. The MC is pragmatic and willing to kill and leave others to die to further his own agenda, but not sadistic. Some would call this an anti-hero but that is a loaded label since definitions vary.
Lastly, some dark stuff happens in this book that may offend delicate sensibilities, such as extreme violence and a chapter where the MC encounters sex-traffickers.
If those aspects don’t turn you off to the book I highly recommend it. The world is vibrant and the characters are fun. The storyline is simple, get mega-powerful and save my wife. If that sounds good to you, enjoy.
