Felt the Author had room for growth but besides my judging four is about the highest rating I give anything without alcohol. I think it’s worth a listen obviously. I think I’ve only give a few books a 5 out of the thousands I’ve read and more recently listened to. I enjoyed the world building and sometimes not going into too much detail is a blessing, the dialog was entertaining as well as the primis. I enjoyed how the bad guy was born from such a simple source and shows what power can do when it’s in the hands of a narcissist with delusions of grandeur. I thoroughly hated our villain and that means he was written well. Can’t count the number of times I wished I could get my hands on him lol. I enjoyed our heros attitudes and how they weren’t all just magically heroic for the sake of it. Mixed in with the need to help others was individual desires and goals making them seem much more human. Also I enjoyed the effort that seems to have went into making this audible book.
