What started as an indecent proposal turned into so much more between Gabriel and Mercy. She was trying to save her father from a life in prison and wanting him to be protected for being wrongly put there and Gabriel just saw her as someone he wanted to have at any cost, he never expected to fall in love.

As they continue to weave through how to get free of Vlad Gabriel and Caleb’s mafia father, Mercy becomes collateral damage and Gabe goes “scorched earth to find her” including bend to his fathers will for now.

I found the story to be intriguing and a decent mafia story but obviously the love story is better. Mercy at times is a little annoying but since the world that Gabriel lives is all new to her it is understandable…she gets a pass.
