This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. Damsel in distress/woman on the run stories are very much my catnip so I was excited to read this. The story and writing kept me interested from the beginning. I loved seeing Kinsley come back to life after the ordeal she had been through, where all her power had been taken from her. She was sassy. Watching Ashton fall was great–it’s always fun to watch a sexy bachelor meet his match. My only complaint would be the ending–I think I expected a little bit more. Sarah Puckett did an excellent job with the narration. Overall, it was a really good story and I will definitely read this author again.
