While Oren is very powerful he neglects to take advantage of specific opportunities such as his rune craft ability, specifically his area rune craftability! throughout the five books so far since he’s gotten his rune craft ability he has yet to fully realize several specific virtual reality advantages of that ability probably offers that would allow him to effectively take down much more powerful opponents that he seems to continue to encounter. by using a combination of area rune craft where they specify he can manipulate gravity. That gravity rune we only seen him test it out in the cathedral in Axar. in combination with the runes that could imprison his foes then sacrifice them with his dagger would be a very Op combo. Also he may be powerful but I feel he also neglected to take advantage of his boss potential but constantly dumping all of his skill points into mana most VR worlds even with the VR God Shiva taking over all of neo usually give you an opportunity to gain skill/Attribute points periodically and he just hasn’t gained enough of those to really balance out his character to properly combat other powerful opponents we see he’s running into time and time again where he has no mana he needs something to fall back on a little bit more strength to really balance out his character could seriously yield some serious dividends later on down the road. believe it was the previous book that he had to face off with the Cobald chief when he finally like used some daggers and he was actually kind of Opie with a better physical point distribution or even a few here and there he would be much faster not only that but stronger generally thought he was going to be physically more of a presence on any of the battlefields we see him on where he’s standing back and just casting all these things that be okay if like I said he was using his rune craft ability in combination with his dagger to sacrifice his foes it’s a one-hit kill and all ability. I did believe the story was going to go in a different direction when there was the whole takeover and we did see this physical combat presence when he was fighting the Cobald chief.

with all that out the way and I’ll save you all my own personal issues with the discrepancy between cobalts and different genres from one story to the other some being lizards and the others being more dog-like wolf like. let’s not go that far off topic I do want to take a second to say that they have at some booze made a positive effort to hire multiple narrators which is sometimes a thing where you’re enjoying the consistency of one person making an intent to voice multiple different characters especially across genders respectfully yes some guys sound like girls and some girls sound like guys but let’s face it guys generally have a deeper voice or anyone in a masculine perspective has a genuine genuine deeper voice so kudos for taking the time and effort to have people script in Guy voices for guys and girl voices for girls.

Sometimes with this storyline though I do have trouble really visualizing well the scenery with a descriptive factors the areas that they are in like when they’re in the goblin gorge valley sometimes it’s kind of hard to do get a good visual of what the Characters looking at. While you can kind of get a good close guess cuz they’ve been working at it for a few books ever whenever we are outside of the valley describing places such as Axare and the cave where he fought the scorpions, the cathedral transporting from one scene to the next could be polished up a little bit it might add up to say 10-15 minutes more per chapter but a little effort is respected and respectable not that as the story stands and I’m not going to read the next book.
