The story line was above average. I find it hard that children dressed in rags could live in minus 30 Fahrenheit for weeks on end. The horses living off of what? No grass nor hay available. But other details were more believable. Such as human behavior both noble and devoid of decency.
Enjoyed the care of loving men given toward their families.
