Very decent overall, I particularly enjoyed the world building. An alternate timeline post apocalypse earth populated by super powers, magic demons, mutants and monsters.
Some parts of the story don’t make a ton of sense: the logic of superhero liability makes zero sense compared to real life liability and seems to bend in loops to inconvenience the MC.
Heather is definitely the worst character and comes across as a self centered bully who doesn’t actually like the MC. Further I could do without the whole love-triangle subplot. The characters are all teenagers, so horny nonsense and friends that aren’t really your friend aren’t out of the ordinary.
The MC should definitely be more upset with his parent for experimenting on him without his consent and seemingly being uninterested in remedying their mucking about to give him the “best version” of his abilities. Probably plot stuff to keep the MC from being to OP too quickly.
That’s all just nitpicking though, I’m more than willing to fast forward through the eye rolling parts and would pick up a sequel.
