I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to point out that the writing is not all there. I love the storyline and the characters and the creativity. I just wish the author had spent more time showing more than telling me what was happening. It’s enjoyable enough that I listened all the way through in one sitting, but was aware each time something was told that should have been shown. At times, the writing was redundant from narration to the character’s response. I also think some development was missing in certain aspects of the plot and there are definitely some plot fails – things that are just not believable, like three young women hoodwinking a warrior race alien warship commander, but I ignored it and kept on because, like I said, the storyline was fantastic. I love paranormal/alien romances and the Trivator Warriors with their feline aspects was really good. I think SE Smith could be really, really, good with some more work. I haven’t listened to the others in the series yet, so maybe the writing improves. I’ll probably still listen because I want to know what happens next for Jordan, Taylor, Saber and Dagger.
