The story is so very good and the author doesn’t worry about trying to impress the reader with unnecessary words. He lets the events speak for themselves, yet allows the victims to tell their story with honor. The narrator is great…I honestly never experienced a moment of “ugh” when he recounts a female’s experience or words.
I surprised myself a few times by gasping out loud at those moments of incredulity at the perpetrators’ expressed beliefs… that’s how engrossing this audio book is.
