This was a very enjoyable book. Wesley was a very likable character who I enjoyed rooting for throughout the book. The author did a great job of building him up, giving good background and helping the reader to understand who he was and why he was that way. The banter between Wesley and his grandfather was funny at times, and really lent to the authenticity of the family.
The narration was (of course) great. I love Kevin Pierce. He always does such a great job narrating.
This book had a pretty unlikable antagonist, but that’s what they’re supposed to be, right? At times I wanted to reach through the earbuds and strangle the jerk. Makes me wonder if people like that actually exist out there in the wild. Anyway, the book was a great listen and I was sad to hear it end.
Overall, I really liked this book and would be very interested in the next book in the series.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
