The story held me captive, even when I wanted to look away. The author doesn’t hesitate to have bad things happens to established characters. The events were important to progress the storyline, but somewhat gut wrenching. This 2nd book was just as good as the first, but definitely an emotional rough ride. Can’t wait to listen to the final book and she how it’s all resolved.
