I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It was a very emotional listen at times given the nature of the story, but I was 100% invested in the characters and the story line. Alden finds himself the father of a newborn after the sudden passing of his brother and sister in law, sending his life into a tailspin. Charlee, who was in love with Alden as a teenager, finds herself back in his life as an adult, and wanting to help with his new baby girl, but his life on the road as musician becomes too much for the both of them causing upheaveal all around. I love this author’s writing style and ability to evoke emotion in the reader/listener. I love Sarah Puckett as a narrator and think she does an amazing job at conveying all the emotions of story and that the character is going through. I also think Jarman Day did a really good job as Alden and I would definitely recommend this book.
