Although the beginning was a little slow, the story picked up and became as exciting as the first one in the series. I admired the additional worldbuilding. I appreciated the divergent pathways which Rhett, Fabien, and Dinah took. I spent some time with bated breath as each character faced their challenges. I was entertained by some flashes of humor provided by the dialogue. I’m looking forward to the next book. I enjoyed Paul Heitsch’s narration as his performance was entertaining. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
