This is the LitRPG book I’ve listened to, and I devoured it and the subsequent books. I’ll be the first to admit this is like book candy — enjoyable but not groundbreaking or thought provoking. But the world would be boring if we didn’t have books we could just sit back and enjoy like this.
The “RPG” bit of the book wasn’t intrusive, and I really enjoyed Carl’s attitude about the situation. And who the hell doesn’t like sassy Princess Donut?
Jeff Hays does an excellent job with narration and I’ll definitely be looking for more books he narrates!
