Another winner by Mark Goodwin. This book was so intriguing that I purchased both the Kindle and the Audible versions.
The events in the story nearly parallel the events that are happening today; a downward trend in the financial realm as well as in the morals of people. If you are not aware of the current conditions, you need to read this book. It is an eye-opener.
The general theme throughout the book is to always be prepared. Prepared not only for an apocalypse but for events that take place on a regular basis; floods, blizzards, power outages. Destruction comes upon those who do not foresee the dangers in everyday living.
Shane Black, the main character in the book, learned the hard way that fame, glory, and the effects of being in the wrong company of friends has many downfalls and heartbreaks. The end of book one leaves one in great suspense of the future travels of Shane Black.
Mark Goodwin does a fabulous job writing books that are entertaining and informative. Kevin Pierce does a fabulous job of narrating the book.
