judgement could have been entirely condensed to a single chapter at the end of the prior book. I persisted because the ongoing saga has been intriguing but this book was a meandering mess. While I generally enjoy character building and vivid descriptive writing this was excessive. They belabored so much of the character’s internal dialog but rarely ever actually moved the plot along. The last half of the book was maddening and felt like my time was being wasted simply to shoehorn an extra book in the series.
