Drawn out and predictable.

The book is too long, compared to the actual story content the book provides. There are long winding verbose chapters where long passages don’t move the story ahead at all. So many chapters could’ve been edited out. And then in the parts where the story actually progresses, it progresses in a predictable path. Nothing came as a surprise. The characters were mostly bland and didn’t make me care about that at all. Overall, a poor book.
