This story seems so unnecessarily long. It literally drags on. The dialogue just drones on and on. The premise is interesting enough that I was super intrigued to start it, but I feel like I’ve been listening for weeks now— and I still have over 4 hours left. How??? I’m flirting with a DNF on this one….which I RARELY ever do. I’m not an impatient reader/ listener by any means, but the MMC is so emotionally stunted and immature that it becomes annoying listening to his constant self-loathing and misguided cruelty at times. The title tells you exactly where it’s headed, and I haven’t even gotten to that part being confirmed yet, but I don’t feel inclined to continue it.
