I enjoyed the first two books so purchasing the third seemed like a great idea. I had to stop listening when Chloe got kidnapped. I could not handle the nonsense any longer. There are so many issues with this book. Numerous mistakes in facts and details about weapons, implausible conversations between characters ie. Cole talking to his parents about his relationship with Chloe and him insisting that he had to break up with Chloe because they are moving too fast, Cole having the ability to track a cougar and a dog (Bennie) through miles and miles of thick woods and Cole hearing a single gunshot 1/2 mile away and actually finding where the shot came from…. impossible. The first two books had a bunch of mistakes and contradictions but there were too many in this book. Mr. Newman needs to fire his editor and have someone how knows a little about weapons, realistic sniper shot distances by amateur shooters, combat tactics, the fact that people do not have long winded conversations during a firefight and that government communication bunkers do not have sky lights. I could go on and on. This book was sloppy.
