I enjoyed this book. This is book four in the Katerina Carter Fraud Thiller and I had heard the previous books and enjoyed them so thought I would give this one a go to. Glad I did. I liked the novel way of commiting the murder and was hooked from the start as to how Kat and Jace would survive their get away. The story was cleverly done and it kept you guessing as to who was really behind it all and I didn’t see the twist coming.
This time it is Jace who is working while on holiday and Kat is along for the ride. Jace has been invited to a secluded mountain top lodge to write the biography for a billionaire. But things don’t start out well as apon arrival they are met by environmental activist blocking there way, the locals are up in arms over the contaminated water supply. Then the deal struck between Jace and the Billionaire isn’t what he thought it was and Jace just wants to Chuck it all in and go home. Kat is the one to talk him around and stick it out, a decision she soon regrets when she gets caught in an avalanche and stands helpless by while a couple aren’t so lucky. Was it an accident like everyone thinks? Kat doesn’t think and begins to investigate. The problem is she is stuck in the middle of nowhere and is reliant on her host for her way home, so does she really want to stick her nose where it isn’t wanted?
I like the narrator and thought she did a great job with all the voices she used to make this an enjoyable story. I highly recommend this book.
