I was very worried going into this book, but I’m so glad I listened to it. While yes the hero is surrounded by attractive females and yes there will be a harem, there is nothing overly sexual and our hero is a little shy. I also find it funny that in a book where there is cannibalism there are more people offended by the harem when most of the characters are eating human, usually super hero sausage. It’s a fantasy book. It’s not the world we are in so people will have a different view of right and wrong and what is legally right and wrong. So long story short.
If you want to read a story that has an interesting story with characters that do grow and develop pretty well then give it a try.
Narrator did an awesome job! I’m kind of torn because Nick Pohehl reads the second book and I really did liked Jeff Hays performance. So that will be a little bit different, but Nick Podehl is awesome so hopefully it will be okay. I was worried about this book (listened to a few books that let me down recently), but I’m so glad I gave this one a shot! If you don’t like it, then just blame yourself for not being me and having my tastes.
