there’s a reason that 9 books go for 1 Credit. I was forcing myself to get through them to get my credit worth. I slogged up to book 6. The lead character is an idiot 90% of the time only being saved by luck and plot armor. He keeps making the same stupid mistakes over and over. He tells us that its stupid and he suffers for it…but then he does it over and over again. Others tell him it’s stupid and he still does it. he has the depth of a 13 year old and the intellect to match. the only way the story moves forward is with one person acting over emotional and stupid… usually the lead character. The writer let’s us know that he is maturing and learning from his mistakes but then does the same stupid things as before.

just stay away unless you like a story about a poor suburban white guy who got soaked around by his dad and his mom kept putting him down….oh so terrible. On a side note they housed him and raised him and put his dub arse through a Philosophy degree in college…so terrible. then he had to slave away at a star bucks till the world ended…after 6 books I must agree with his parents, his dad did not beat enough of the stupid out of him and his mom kept telling him that his dreams were idiotic. his parents are the true heros of the story.
but if you like selfish, emotional man children then he is the protagonist for you.
