I wish I had read the reviews more closely before purchasing. A number of reviews I read just now describe very well the extreme problem with the narration by the female narrator. Some of the narrators I actually like tremendously, but the narrator reading the part of Mary was impossible to understand and had lots of fake ridiculous accents for other characters. I recently returned an audible book so I probably will not return this one as well but I won’t be able to continue listening. I will need to get a hardcop so I can read this book.
