This starts off as a great mafia and only gets better as the story moves along. It is a dark story so keep that in mind. I do LOVE these two characters. Donatella is sooo smart and strong! I really enjoy her spice and ingenius mind. She really cracked me up once she decided to comply with Cristian. I laughed at how his guards acted towards her over and over. She only gets better as the story progresses. Cristian is quite the guy but he really is second fiddle to Donatella.
I really enjoyed the suspense and some surprises that this story brought forward. I did listen to this on audio. I did not care for the male narrator and he is a lot of the book. He really did not do justice to Christian’s character. The female narrator did a wonderful job.
