Most of the “end of the world” series tend to peter out. The premise may be good but a constant search for food, shelter, and fighting the bad guys, can get repetitive. What I really liked was each chapter begins with where and when it takes place. As much as I love audiobooks it is easy to lose track when authors shift time and/or location without a hint.

The main character, Battle, is Reacher-like.
