If you do.. imagine playing the game as an NPC and never changing your character. That’s exactly what this book is like. This timid gimmick from the last book is dialed up to 11 as we all stand by and not watch this plot progress at all. Basically this is just like watching a guy study and have a job. Ultimately you listening to this book makes you crave for the sweet sweet release of actually going to your own job to study and read patient charts. This can’t be described as sci-fi at all. This story could have been on a 18 century gallon heading to the new world just with less scurvy. The only action is this book is a fight… that he doesn’t actually describe. He legitimately talks about crocheting for 2 full chapters. My favorite character is the guy that leaves the ship in the first chapter. I don’t even remember his name but I understand his decision completely. So it’s a hard pass on this book for me I say pick up your own part time job instead. Alternatively you could also watch your neighbor play the sims from your balcony which is miles more entertaining.
