Most of this book is escapism to the point of boredom. There’s very little tension and the MC does unrealistically well once the book progresses past chapter one.
That being said, I found the read mildly enjoyable and the ending provided a few tense moments.
I used to be more into Anime and I kept comparing the story to several Japanese Light Novels. If I was still 18 years old, I’d probably have enjoyed the simplistic plot a bit more…
In the end, I’d recommend this if you’re really into Anime & Comic Books. Otherwise, stear clear since the book is full of 2D characters and adolescent wish-fulfillment, with very little tension or consequences.
