I don’t think I even made it halfway through the 1st book.
It was 90% inner monolog, and most of that was repetitive information. It just got too frustrating. Even thinking back to it is giving me a headache.
I usually force myself to finish books, but I tried for a week and found that I was opting not to listen to anything instead of going back to this book…
I really felt like the story was dragging, but of course that could have been due to the constant repetition of the same basic information.
Perhaps if I could have finished listening to the story without having to fight off the compulsive desire to shove a pencil in my ear in order to end my torture, I would have found something redeeming about this story…
The one positive was that the narrator seemed to do well with female and male voices.
