Kaili and Luke are twins with a secret. They are selected before birth to be in a special military unit. As such, they are given gene-therapy to make them better soldiers. Once they reach maturity, they are drafted and become leaders in a basic training camp of sorts. Much of this book felt like it was inspired by Divergent. The Zombie twist is pretty cool. Where this story really shines is Kai’s character development and love interest. Talk about teenage angst! I was on the edge of my seat rooting for Kai to find love. Then ending! Holy Cow! I may die waiting for the next book to be released on audio!
