Once again, Asher dives into the Ozarks, and takes along with him, his characters Mason Dixon, and Mason’s trusty camera crew, Emma. Their task? To ferret out the Cryptid that’s attacked and killed a crew that was laying pipeline… Only, they find, the area full of Cryptids!
Our intrepid heros, capture a Hinge-tailed Bingbuffer on film that very first night… then things get serious. They not only find Gollywampuses, but a Whistling Wampus, a very dangerous, and critically endangered Cryptid! Dare they try to relocate it to a safer locale?
Joel L Froomkin really seems to have captured the essence of the book, and his accent is (to me, anyway) dead on perfect!
Asher makes this book a fun filled romp, as Mason and Emma find themselves running for their lives! While at the same time, he keeps me busy on Google, looking up creatures I’ve never heard of, just to verify their existence in folk lore, and they’re in there! Lol!
Altogether, Mason Dixon: the Wampus of Reeds Spring, is an absolute Hoot! I’m soooo glad I found these audiobooks!
