The cover does let us know that there are adult themes. However, the first several chapters are so heavily sexualized and fetished that it loses what made the original novel fun. The consensual rape fantasy gets so much time devoted to it that there is not much room for anything else. If you enjoy reading about a tortured mind broken until S&M is the only joy left to it, then you may be interested in this story, but if you are interested in anything else, I would recommend skipping it.
