THE LOW DOWN
This book is about a son who rebels against his evil father by turning to a greater, darker evil. The author does a good job of making you want the father dead, but falls short in making you care about the characters. The book is short, but not so short as to have prohibited the author from putting more effort into deepening the bond the story creates to the characters that matter most.

WHY?
Do you ever just scratch you head and say “whaaaaat? What is it with all these immature authors seeking to turn one of their chapters into a two dimensional scene out of a back alley porn film? Seriously, don’t make me wade through your masturbation fantacy. Develop your plot, deepen your characters, don’t break the fourth wall. If your life has been so shallow that you don’t have any real life experience to translate into your characters, the last thing you want to do is emulate the cheap tactics of checkout line magazine covers. Read the timeless stories and emulate them. Unless of course your goal was always to be that un-memorable story that stole my time, that I can never get back!
