It started out so promising. The first third of the book is a very interesting true crime within a world that is usually shadowed in mystery. However the second third goes off the rails. It becomes hyper focused on gay lifestyle and sex. Beyond that which is necessary for character or story development. It was exploitative and seemed to only serve as shock value. The final third brought it back to the true crime aspect but in a very unfulfilling and disappointing manner. The narrator was the only positive aspect.
