Loved the series, but this final instalment was a vast disappointment. About 3/4 of this book took place in an area that held little to no investment for (me at least) the reader, coupled with a high quantity of audio editing errors, especially prevalent in the first few chapter, the sickening overuse of auto-tune to make Vic’s voice (altering it to a disturbing degree from the remainder of the series) only ever accomplished to fuel my contempt. The final battle had some nice editing and effects bit this does not suppress the more than 13 hours of poor quality presented in this audio book. The ending felt extremely rushed and unsatisfying, leaving more questions than answers about the future that we will likely never get answered. If you are invested in this series (as you should be after reading or listening to the first two instalments of it) and still want to proceed with it.. Consider yourself warned.
