I loved this series right up to the last two books. Happy and Armageddon are akin to Highlander 2 and Starship Troopers 2…sequels to very successful earlier versions that never should have seen the light of day. I kept listening through both hoping that he was actually leading up to something solid, only to have the rug pulled out from under my feet over and over. There is no possible redemption for this series.
I would say something about the narration, but ai think he was just as disgusted reading through it as we were listening…and it showed.
A great series that came to a very poor GRRM ending…
