I gave this series a try since ive liked other witch mystery books, but i do not like this one. It feels too rushed. The characters feel forced in their emotions and reactions. The plot is central, and there are no real subplots. The ones that were put in arent explored and are simply explained. Everything is through Sendrine, and only get just her perspective on everything. Everything also seems to revolve around her aunt disappointed in her for not practicing magic. It’s repeated as an excuse and reason.
