we get sold a story about a man and his family at the beginning of the series, you base your purchases off these descriptions. when you get to the third book and see that this protagonist and his family get more and more marginalized it’s very frustrating. This is once again lazy writing by the author. instead of something new the author just grabs other characters and tells the same story with less well fleshed out characters.
