Difficult to rate. I think I feel ripped off.

This story is much shorter than the runtime suggests. There’s a baffling decision to go through Aurora’s ‘diary’ in the middle of the book which is literally an hour of reading stats (and this is with me listening at 1.5 speed), right smack in the middle of the narrative. It completely derails everything and I lost all momentum with the story for no reason.

I don’t know why authors insist on adding this to the wordcount. If people really want it, add a pdf file to the audiobook so that the nerds can peruse it as their leisure – don’t drag down the story by throwing it all in the midst of it.

Such a baffling decision.
