After the first hour (standard) I didn’t think I liked the book, but by the second hour I was hooked. The adventure aspects of the story are subtle. This is really about young people who find their way together with the help of the experience of the older characters.
There are lessons in the story and I found myself drawn to the way they work together and grow. This is probably not for everyone, but I will continue with the series as I am now totally invested in what happens to our characters and how they grow into their new roles. Enjoy!
