K.A., just when I was about to throw my Kindle against a wall, you halted the swing with another twist! Although I found these boys “insecurities” a bit out of place most of the time, and that element of the up and down between Beast and Laurent in this book was frustrating to me, you pulled enough together to make it intriguing enough to think “ok..5 more minutes”…and voila…back into it I’d fall. I was pleasantly surprised after all.
Joel, one of your better ones. I didn’t feel like you were going to expire or fall into a fainting fit every time you spoke and there were good vocal characterizations in this one that I haven’t heard from you before. Good job. Keep up this kind of narrative maturity!
Listener, I say try this one. It’s not your run of the mill story, and it does have some strong elements of emotion and action that I think you’ll find intriguing. My only suggestion is to “hang in there” when you want to pitch the Kindle against the wall! It comes together in ways and at times I didn’t expect.
