I felt like this part of the book was very different from the rest of these series. hard to pinpoint exactly why but I did not have connections to most of the newly introduced characters. didn’t connect with Cale. All of artorian’s family connections aren’t involved. feels like the extremely powerful B-Ranks and A-Ranks deal with problems that their power should easily overcome at times just to create plot hurdles. All the plot hurdles seem pretty insignificant. it wasn’t until I think the very last chapter that I even understood where Cale was going with some of his changes. did not like.
